SUN TO RECEIVE HELEN KELLER AWARD FOR GNOME2 ACCESSIBILITY WORK

Sun Microsystems, particularly that companys work on the accessibility
features in GNOME2, has been chosen to receive the Helen Keller Achievement
Award in Technology presented by the American Foundation for the Blind.
The award recognizes “notable accomplishments of individuals who are role
models or improve the quality of life for people who are blind or visually
impaired.” In its work on the GNOME Accessibility architecture, the foundation
said, Sun set an example for the entire computing industry and did much to
lift the barrier between blindness and productive computing.Link
