Sun/Fujitsu release “SPARC Enterprise” series of systems
Sun and Fujitsu have released the SPARC64-IV based SPARC Enterprise line of systems that use the SPARC64 VI processor. The line ranges from the M4000 with four dual-core CPUs and 128G memory up to the M9000 with 64 dual-core CPUs and 2TB memory.
The Sun Fire 1000 and 2000 are now also known as the SPARC Enterprise T1000 and T2000.
