Matthew Ahrens’ has done a great service to us all by releasing the first juicy details about the Zettabyte File System (ZFS) in where else than his blog. ZFS is following the Solaris10 tradition of taking an idea what always seemed nice and making it a plosable and usable reality. So far there is no concrete word that I can find on when the initial release of ZFS will be, but we hope in the next release of Express.
