Sun boots Solaris on Niagara II

According to this NEWS.COM article, Sun has successfully booted Solaris on a prototype of the upcoming successor to the UltraSPARC T1, code-named “Niagara II”. The new chip has eight threads per core (compared to the UST1’s four), multiple floating-point units, and support for 10-Gigabit Ethernet.
