Sounds like the standard HP problem, pull the paper tray and see if there 
is a sheet part way up.  the pickup roller on HP's seems to get plugged up 
with paper dust and instead fo being slightly sticky (rubbery) it gets 
slick.  there are paper sensors throughout the paper path and if they do 
not get tripped within a set time of the pickup roller being activated, you 
get the 13 printer jam message.
