[geeks] geeks like toys, and my toys are old and broken

and i'm not talking about my old broken computers for one. :)

my daughter recently dug into a box of toys that actually turned out the be a
whole pile of some of my toys from when i was a kid.  it was quite cool, as was
one hell of a walk doen memory lane.

anyway, she really likes the little action figures.  you know, the ones that
are 5" tall (or so) and have bendable joints.  GI Joe made a MILLION of them
although one is a Dukes Of Hazard character (the blonde one) and the other two
are non-descript military guys, although they could very easily be GI Joe, not
sure anymore, it has been, uhm 20+ years now since i've played with these
things ya know. :)

anyway, she really likes them, which i think is awesome, but the problem seems
to be that the little rubber band thing that holds the legs to the torso are
all deteriorated and are breaking as soon as she starts playing with them.  it
looks like it could be very easy to fix, but i don't know where to find any
replacement bands.  they are black, thick, and of just the right length.

anyone have any ideas for a suitable replacement?
