Our phone wiring is much better now than it was when me moved in, but it
still has a ways to go to be civilised.  We are wired for two phone lines,
but we also have two phone lines.

We ripped out an aweful lot of phone cruft, including a number of cable
runs that were disconnected at both ends.  Blech.
