That's interesting.  I never knew that.  I remeber NEC advertising that NT
development originally happened on their vr4k chips, although moving from
r3k to vr4k probably wasn't that hard.

What machines actually used the i860 (as opposed to just using it as an
accelerator like many graphics cardsets did)?
