As I sit here late at night, drinking and reminiscing about the years I've
worked for @Home mere hours before I become unemployed, I uncovered an old
employee promotional video from sometime in late 1998, when @Home had only
about 200,000 subscribers and was still a growing and vital company.

It showed various faces I've seen come and go, but there was one quote that
I found truly prophetic. A NOC guy, young and enthusiastic, proclaimed:

"Man, this company is gonna explode!"

If only he'd known then how true that statement was.
