I was poking through a product overview on crystal semiconductors web site, and
came across the phrase:

420 MIPs SLIMD  DSP 

What does SLIMD mean?

Apparently in addition to a bunch of incompatible garbage standards, this card
will do MP3 playback in hardware.  I wonder if an AT&T 3210 DSP can do the 
same.  I keep thinking it could be fun to try.
