Well even that would be better! :-)
then my kill key wouldn't ever wipe out anything I might be interested
in, though it would make approaching my "geeks" folder a lot more
daunting! ;-)

Nope, I don't think so.

No, it's not that way -- as I understand it too much information is lost
when installing on HFS+ to make an "upgrade" sensible. It really is
better to re-install.
It would be like installing NT on an M$-DOS-1.x filesystem and then
trying to "upgrade" it to whatever they call that new NT filesystem.
Well maybe not that drastic, but you get the picture.
Note too that you're mixing concepts here. WinNT does the conversion
during the upgrade. You're talking about upgrading after the install.
Two different things entirely!
