[geeks] TTY dial-ins

let's say i'm deaf (which i'm not) and i want to use a TTY dial-in that a
place has?  what do i need?  can it be done with a modem?  here's why:

due to my unfortunate job related problems i am forced to collect unemployment.
being the penultimate geek that i am, i'd like to setup a cron job that'll call
the TTY number and claim my time for me automatically.

anyone have any suggestions?
