Weird maps.  All of the symbols on my maps that look like that are
landslide/avalanches.  I think mine are all either USGS or AMC provided.
Swamps normally don't have everything at 90 degree angles.  It's been a
long time since I taught orienteering, so I suppose it's possible that
I'm on crack.
