It HAS 802.11 now.  its just the support for managing apple's 
proprietary basestation that wasn't NATIVE.  you could still use the 
os 9 one that was installed.

XFree works with it just GREAT.  I'm using that right now as a matter 
of fact to work on my Indigo2 while its headless for monitor 
replacement.

  I'll give you this one.  Classic is a pain in the ass but I've 
actually not had to use it much.  I'm still waiting for a good MP3 
player that doesn't need Classic but thats my big problem with it. 
All my other major apps (email, ICQ, web browsers, text 
editors/compilers) are native.
