My Compaq Proliant has a temp sensor on-board as well, but Linux *seems* to ignore it - every time I power it up (*when* I power it up - 29 days and counting!) it wants to wait 5 minutes for the ambient temp to drop inside the case!

I would prefer it not wait, but to be honest, safety is worth it - I've got several dollars tied up in this box!

I hate PCs even more now - the damn athlon tbird 700 system
is being picky about *room temperature* now.  I gotta wait
till the AC cools down before I can finish setting up win2k
again - and this is with a NON-OVERCLOCKED system!!!!
