[geeks] Q: Can you run a Creator 2D at 1600x1024 (SGI 1600SW Flat Panel)?

I have a line on a great deal on an SGI 1600SW - can it be driven by the
Creator 2D in my Ultra 30?

The *real* resolution on the SGI 1600SW is 1600x1024, and I see that the
Creator 3D can do 1600x1000 (24" monitor support), so it *could* work...

The issue is the flat panel is not returnable if I don't like it...

On a slightly related note - the Viewsonic 15" flat panel canbe gotten for
about $250 at Dell.com - they have the display for about $460, then there is
a 20% discount on displays & accessories bought seperate from a system unit,
then there is a $30 off coupon (7C353E208B9A), then there is free ground
shipping. With me so far? Great, then there is a $100 rebate from Viewsonic,
and Dell is an approved vendor for the rebate! I just ordered one from Dell
(for my Sun PCi card display ;^) - these will do 1024x768, and are supposed
to be quite good panels. My order came to $343.56, before the mail-in
rebate...
