I think these are the guys who ripped off ximian's website a while
back...  They seem to have new stuff online now, but at one point, you
could see where they'd taken the exact same pages, with the exact same
screenshots and images, and just changed things like
s/Evolution/TradeClient/.  Not very cool. 
On a similar note, lkcl, one of the Samba hackers who understands the
SMB stuff -very- well has done some work on reverse engineering the
exchange wire protocol.  I don't know if he's still working on it, but
he's easy to find.  Exchange 2000 is supposed to be using XML-RPC over
the wire, which should make decoding much easier.  Of course, the
quickest and easiest solution is to get the sysadmin to pull their head
out of their ass, and reenable IMAP.
