[geeks] KDE and/or GNOME?

Just wondering how good/bad/indifferent each of these run on Solaris.
Now that I'm actually going to have the CPU cycles to spare (Huh, you
mean a load average does get below .8?) I've been pondering giving them
a try. I'm not terriblly keen on the looks of either, but all the newest
goodies are coming out for them these days. I'd rather just keep on
using Open Windows but it'll be history soon enough.

Any hints or tips?
