You have my best wishes for a speedy recovery. I can empathize quite
easily, having broken one of the bones in the ball of my right foot
somehow. I have no idea how it happened. Started hurting Saturday for no
apparent reason. Went to the podiatrist yesterday and he showed it to me
on the x-ray. I, too, now have a boot, but no crutches.

The boot is quite anti-stylish, too. I almost prefer just limping.
