Just before midnight, Chan was lying in bed, I was up talking on the phone
when house shook.  Wow, pretty wild.  I guess there was a 5.1 out by Palm
Springs, we felt it down in San Diego.

I think the one I experienced in upstate NY back in the 80's was stronger,
at least I remember it shaking my bed pretty hard.
