My personal philosophy on the subject is simple
I believe abortion is morally wrong as a waste of the potential that a human
life offers. No religious implication here at all, nothing about playing
god.
I also believe that it is non of my god damned business to tell you what
your morals ought to be.
And finally, I believe that effective birth control, and yes even abortion
are necessary in the society (ies) that we have created over the past
hundred or so years (mostly since LBJ actually) that denigrates personal
responsibility and self reliance and encourages dependance, and external
governance.
Until and unless every individual is always willing to accept all the
consequences of all their actions, abortion will be a necessary part of our
society to prevent yet more misery, dependency and external governance.
