[geeks] are *BSD (and Linux) people "unhelpful"?

Joe User's box will blue screen until he reinstalls. Which I think they
*FINALLY* fixed in XP... BeOS had it right.

I still think Windows is harder to fix than any unix.

Maybe I assume everyone will know how to handle default unpassworded
accounts. Other than the overhyped, way late cert advisory on lp I can't
think of any big issues that IRIX has that Solaris hasn't. Back when
securityfocus had vunerabilities by OS, both Solaris and IRIX were at the
bottom (Windows having the most vunerabilities and Linux not far
behind.) And hey, SGI even has their own good filesystem.

What is support? Ever read the RedHat contract? They garantee you a
login: prompt and not much else. Your kind of in that boat with anything
unless you have a real, real expensive, contract.
