Doesn't mean it's right.  By the same token there are a lot of illegal 
things that are also "right or OK to do in a perfect world"  If people 
would actually operate all of "their vehicles" properly, the offset to 
congestion would be a lot higher.  So many people everywhere cause huge 
mile-long traffic jams to look at an accident that is on the other side 
of the highway... this pisses me off.  A lot of congestion could be 
avoided if people used common sense and didn't try to shoot ahead and 
then rejoin later in traffic.  It just pushes one whole line of cars 
further back and pisses off everyone who actually waited their turn... 
it also causes sparring matches between vehicles.

Well I'm assuming since you're a sensible person that you had plenty of 
time to stop and change direction.... The lane splitters that annoy me 
most aren't the people calmly going along 10 mph faster than everyone 
else (stopping every now and then to make sure people are OK and peruse 
the best pathway)... it's the lowbrow fuckers who speed in between cars 
at 90MPH repeatedly gunning the engine in an angry fashion like they own 
the road... especially on racing bikes.
