Montreal. The import tariffs on French alcohol were much less than in New
York, and I was underage so I would sneak it across the border. When I
was closer to broke, Hennessy VVSOP, but mostly Delamain Venerable, but
once in a while, I would splurge and get a bottle of Pierre de Segonzac
Reserve Ancestrale. On a really, really special occasion, I've been known
to bring out the Eglise Logis St. Martin.
