No. Most attendees are german, but talking english is no real problem

This is no formal congress or the like. We simply meet at the house of
one of us. There will be a tent in the garden for the VAXen[1] and
sleeping... It is a bit like camping with computers. We sit around
hacking on hard- and software, enjoy chating from face to face instead
from screen to screen, trade hardware, ... and last but not least the
culinary attractions. Only 200m to the French border... 

[1] We are not limited to VAXen. Everything is OK, as long as is it is
real, non PeeCee hardware.
