Yes, the internal drives on a 3500 are FC-AL. Also, the stock I/O cards
have SOC+ on them, and a host of other small changes. The E3000 is still
cool, though. I'd love to own one personally.
As for CPU's, in my little lab:
E3500 6x400, 3G
E4500 8x400, 16G
E6000 16x400, 8g
E6500 24X400, 24g
E10000 64x400, 64G
F15K 16x900, 16G (belongs to another group, but I let 'em use my lab.)
And some smaller stuff as well. ;-)
