I wear, every day:

1.  doc martens or similar boots
2.  black levis
3.  t-shirt (tie-dye or a solid color) or one of my Sun or other vendor polos

As someone else said in our department the other day, "If customers have a 
reason to be back here where the techs and geeks are, they wont give a shit
about how we're dressed".

Company even put out a notice last year stating that non-cutoff/frayed shorts
and sandals were fine on days of extreme heat (90F+).

This is $large_telco.
