I just learned that there is a bit on the HPPA 7100 chips that you can
set to keep the integer units from doing carries between the 15th and
16th bit.  Sweet!  That's so cool.  I wonder what the bit is, and if GCC
makes it easy to take advantage of.

Does anyone know what the quality of the HP712s onboard audio is?  I
know it is 16bit 44.1khz stereo, but what about S/N and all those things?
