Generally the bullshit voting in the skating world isn't so much
along political lines. The judges get together, and decide which
of this year's 11 year olds is going to be the next big star, and
then always give her good scores. Sometimes they decide ahead of
time what the ranking for 1st, 2nd, 3rd will be for a particular
event. (That's what happened at Nagano.)

Much as I like figure skating, it probably shouldn't be an
olympic event. The scoring is just way too subjective.
