These people who do this have no hearing below 120 Hz and must compensate
by using a speaker as a vibration device. There are more efficient methods
of rattling things, but these idiots miss the point every single time.

I have a friend who is / was an idiot. I've *tried* to explain it to him.
He had the gall to get pissy with me because I wore earplugs in his car,
hampering conversation. I could *feel* the pressure waves entering my
ears without the earplugs.

Him: "It's not *that loud."

Me: "You can't hear it! Bass is supposed to be a *tone* not a rattle."

Him: "Bass is meant to be felt -- not heard."

Arguing with him is pointless. He's one of the more close-minded people I
know of.
