i also live in the stare of rurality and have been investigating 
satellite access for a while now -- direct pc seems to have had a class 
action suit filed against it cause they throttle down your bandwidth to 
dialup speed if you download anything large ( like cd images of your 
favorite new distribution ) -- im currently considering the new service 
called starband but i havent heard any reports of their conduct yet -- 
billp
