Well I have decided that I need to make some changes around here. So I am
selling my beloved RDI PowerLite 170 MHz Laptop. I also have another PL for
sale. (specs on both below)
Specs:
170 MHz TurboSparc CPU
192 MB memory
12" 1024 x 768 LCD
1.2 GB 2.5" SCSI hard disk
Floppy
Power brick
OEM RDI Carry Case
Serial/AUI breakout cable
System Manual
$575.00
Essentially this is an SS5 in portable format. Has RJ-45 Network jack on
chassis, AUI on the serial dongle. Unit has sound, trackball, external 13W3
video connection, external SCSI connection. I really like the keyboard on
these machines!
There are only two things that rate any complaint with this unit. The
tracball sometimes acts silly and the screen now and then will flicker
on/off depending what position the lid is open to. Repositioning the lid
always fixes the flicker. I suspect the ribon cable is in need ot tightening
of connections. This is a common problem on the PowerLite. Basically I
really like this unit but am in need of money and need to lighten up my load
of stuff.
Second machine:
PowerLite 110 MHz
32 MB memory
1.2 GB hard disk
10" 1024 x 768 LCD
Floppy
Power brick
OEM RDI Carry Case
Serial/AUI breakout cable
$450.00
Neither machine has an OS load. I had Solaris 8 running on the 170 just
fine. Linux runs nicely on the 110.
