I have a machine at work that "freezes" a KVM switch. Not sure why
it does this. It might be a similar issue.

Yes, caveat: Suns use composite sync so make sure the adaptor for the
sparcs are setup to allow composite sync to the (likely) seperate
syncs on the VGA monitor. Is the IBM Sync on Green, Seperate Sync
or Composite Sync?
