[geeks] 3COM 3C796 FDDI Link == DEC DEFPA ????

Hi.

I am confused.
May it be possible that a 3COM 3C796 FDDI card is identical to the DEC
DEFPA?
I came to this question when I saw:
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2036543251
The picture shows a DEFPA[1]. I asked the seller and he assured me that
there is "3C796" written on the card and a MAC address that is asigned
to 3COM. So I am a bit puzzled. Is the 3C796 really a OEMed DEFPA?
