If I'd sung my proposal to Maria I'd be a single guy right
now.  I can't sing.  I couldn't carry a tune if it were
burned on a CD.

If you go to dinner, get the ring ready, then drop your knife
or something near her.  Get down on your knee by her to get it,
real casual, but bring up the ring instead of the knife and ask
her to marry you.  Use the words in your heart.  Don't try to
rehearse.  Just say what you feel.
