I had a 79 Jeep CJ7 that had rotten seats in it (they were literally
rotted to the point that there wasn't much left of the foam in the
seats), and so I mounted a bench seat from a Dodge Diplomat police car
into it. If I was going to do it again I'd make spacers, as the seat was
a bit lower than I liked, but it did work! :) Of course after putting
that seat in, it was the nicest part of the vehicle, this particular
Jeep had a rusted out body (covered in bondo), and even the frame was
rusted thru in several areas. When I moved back to TN I left the Jeep
behind, giving it to my one of my ex's brothers.
