I worked for Raytheon for a while after they bought the TI
Defense Group.  They took an exceptional group with an
outstanding record of on-time and on-budget deliveries
and screwed it totally.

When Raytheon bought the group they called the plant I was
working in the "shining jewel of the acquisition".  Shortly
thereafter they closed the plant and moved the production
to Tuscon.  Most of the people chose to be laid off rather
than move.

I was offered a job at another local plant, so I wouldn't
have to move.  I turned the job down in favor of the layoff
package.
