Take the Sun. It has scsi, and it has a proven headless remote
management system, and semi proven stability (well, the machine is
new, but Solaris is well proven).
Unless you anticipate needing the extra expansion slots and drive bays
on the Xserve that is.
But then, you really don't give us enough to go on. What task is the
server to perform?
