Interesting. When I worked at $CABLE_CO, we got a first-hand report from
some internal guys about how they had tracked and shut down some incidents
of theft -- one was a valid customer who upgraded and didn't get the
service he requested so he `pop'd his modem... to 10Mb/s bidirectional.
Another few did 10 down, 45 up. Insane... and the company's model is to
have to bw ready but keep the customers from it... beautiful, no?
