Interesting article about Be's takeover of Palm.

Alright, I "gave up" on BeOS years ago (BeOS 5 was a resounding
disapoint for its lack of 3D acceleration), but I still can't help
being interested in news about them.  It was such a nice OS
otherwise, and while Atheos also looks nice, it is just so far behind
everything else and doesn't seem to be moving.

Hmm.  Maybe if I get a mac or SGI I'll convert my linux machine to BeOS...
