I don't get how that's the fastest 64-bit workstation, since
there are GS systems running as workstations.

Maybe they should have qualified it as the fastest 64-bit
workstation that you can set on your desk.

Still, I want one.  Unfortunately, I figure it to be way out
of my price range.

Hopefully the price of the older systems will drop some now
so I can get a couple of 300MHz processors for my Ultra 2.
