Holy crap!
I've always hated the music/entertainment industry - from the first time
I saw a placard at a night club dictating no music owned by BMG could be
played there.
I don't ever by new CDs. I buy all my CDs off of eBay or from
second-hand stores. I buy all my DVDs and VHS tapes from the
"previously viewed" bin at the local mom-n-pop owned video store.
As a lobbying group, the recording industry is one of the most
powerful. I don't know how it got that way, but there it is. What I
really think needs to happen is a big old pimp-slap on the recording
industry. They've gotten too powerful, they have too many politicians
and burocrats in their pockets, and they've done nothing but get rich
and complain that they're not rich enough. They're all a group of
self-absorbed hypocrits with more money and power than they know what to
do with - yet they want more.
I'm truly sickened by all things entertainment. I actually have violent
physical reactions to shows like Entertainment Tonight and Access
Hollywood. I just want to toss my TV on the front lawn amd shoot it
repeatedly with a 10ga shatgun...
