With all the modern v-twins out there, I see no reason to pay $15k for a
Harley cruiser. The fact is that most "Japanese" cruisers out-power and
out-handle any Harley in the same class (except the new V-Rod). There
are 1100cc creuisers from Honda that have very similar power to Harley
engines a couple hundred cc larger.
But, then there's the name. Having a Harley has bragging points. It
also get's you into "The Club". If you care about that sort of thing.
A Kawasaki, Suzuki, or Honda will do me just fine until I get the big
bike built - then Karin will inherit it.
