Strange coincidence: My CD-ROM on the pc I use decided not
to work yesterday. It had been working intermittently over
the past several years but I never really used it much
so I did not feel compelled to replace it. I think it is
probably a problem with the connector because if I
jiggle it, there is some activity. For now, I just unplugged
the cables and the Bios goes through fine and the system
boot stops hanging.
