The human (er, rather any mammalian) body is a wonderful thing.  It
produces its own heat energy.  It's often one heck of a lot easier to
collect and concentrate an energy source in an environment that's a lot
colder than the heat producing body (put on more/better clothes) than it
is to dissipate excess heat into an environment thats already hotter
than the heat producing body.....  :-)

I think everything between the Tropics is uninhabitable (at least during
the daytime)! :-)
