Damn straight!  Not many desktop unix systems 10 years ago with 
quad-proc and 512M capability...  Not to mention all the sbus slots, and 
room for 2 1.6" disks.
Yeah, they got hot.  But, part of that was the CPU folks making 
hotter-running chips, and some were worse than others.
On the plus side, one with dual SuperSPARCs will run damn near forever.  
Actually, name some 10-year-old systems that can still run the current 
OS provided by the manufacturer, and do it reasonable well to boot.
Short list.
