I've got an S40 (drove it to work today), and I like it.  Chan and I test
drove about 15 or so cars (our inital list was much bigger) this time
before picking the S40.  We thought we wanted a sports car (no kids, no
worries), but the S40's comfort  and handling won us over.  It's not
blazingly quick (15.9 in the 1/4), but once the turbo is spinning it
accelerates quite well.  Plus (and Alex can back me up), strong brakes are
necessary in San Diego, and the S40's are really amazing for a car in its
class.
