Not only is it possible - but I've done it several times with Propane.
There are DOT approved propane tanks that mount on the body rails with
regulators and simple electronics. The propane gets injected before the
supercharger in a deceptively simple fashion. The line coming from the
tank is inserted into a bung in the air intake tubing, and the valve is
wired to a switch that senses heavy throttle conditions and begins the
flow of propane as needed. Simple, easy, quick to install. That,
coupled with larger injectors, can increase torque by 50% without even
touching the PCM or the turbo system.
