[geeks] Final Fantasy

As much as I liked the games, I really think they should have let a 'real'
director and script-writer do Final Fantasy. I would love to see a good
director with a good script do a completely CG movie on Final Fantasy's
level. That would be awesome.

The DVD is definitely worth the $20. They have the characters (good and bad)
redo the Thriller video.

Well, yes. The plot/storyline was predictable and somewhat boring. But
the rest of the movie more than made up for it - besides, this time
around I wasn't really paying attention to the story. Total eye-candy.
Donald Sutherland was the best voice actor there, but James Woods was
flat and under-acting I think. He could have done much better with a
little coaching.

I'm going to have to find a good modeler that I can use on Irix.
Lightwave 5 is good for scene creation, but the modeler doesn't quite
work like I want it. I hate to say it, but my brain really likes
Rhino3D - it's a shame it only runs on Windows :( Blender seems good,
but again, my brain no-likey.
