I've never seen them. At one time you could get special dimmers for 
florescents, but they required that the lamp use conventional ballasts (not 
electronic ballasts).



Dumb question time.  I know what ballast is on a boat.  James, from your
comment 'ballast' in a fluorescent is not quite the same.  What they hey is
florescent ballast and/or what is it for?
